We take a name, email, phone, or username and return one clear report — aggregating lawfully public records and open online data, then using AI to verify and summarize what we find instead of dumping raw records on you.
People-search has a bad reputation for a reason: dark-pattern billing, fake urgency, and reselling sensitive data. We're building the opposite. Reports are free during our beta. Sensitive details (like data-breach contents) are shown only to the verified owner of the email. And anyone can remove their own information from Recordwell without friction — see our removal page.
Only public and lawfully licensed sources — government records, open registries, public profiles, and licensed data providers. Never leaked databases, never scraped private accounts, never data behind a login. Full list on our data sources page.
We don't sell leaked breach contents, scrape social networks against their terms, or provide vehicle-owner data restricted by the DPPA. And Recordwell is not a Consumer Reporting Agency — our reports may not be used for hiring, tenant screening, credit, or insurance decisions under the FCRA.
